Milestone Legislation
  • SP-2920, S-2020 An Ordinance Converting the Tandang Sora Senior High School to an Integrated High School.

       This ordinance was enacted to accommodate junior high school learners to decongest the Tandang Sora National High School and Sauyo High School.

  • SP-2871, S-2019 An Ordinance Establishing the Bagbag Integrated High School Located at Barangay Bagbag Novaliches, Quezon City a. This ordinance was enacted following the recommendation of the Local School Board (LSB) to establish an integrated high school in Barangay Bagbag, to be named Bagbag Integrated High School.
  • SP-2900, S-2020 An Ordinance Amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. SP- 115, S-93 Providing Preferential Rights to Registered Voters and Bonafide Residents of the Barangay Wherein Infrastructure Constructions and Business Establishments are Located.

       This ordinance was enacted in order to update SP- 115, S-93 in order to keep up with the changing times and ensure its effective application.

  • SP-2969, S-2020 An Ordinance Renaming the Tandang Sora Senior High School to Melchora Senior High School.

       This ordinance was enacted to rename the Tandang Sora Senior High School to Melchora Senior High School in order to avoid confusion with the Tandang Sora National High School.

  • SP-7937, S-2020 A Resolution Commending the University of the Philippines (UP) for being among the Top Ten Universities with the Highest Citations for Clinical and Pre-Clinical Health in the 2019 Times Highest Education (THE) World University Rankings.

       This resolution was passed recognizing and commending the excellence of UP, its administration, students, and faculty, for bringing honor to the country by being among the top-ranked universities globally and ensuring quality and relevant education for the public.

  • SP-7986, S-2019 A Resolution Urging the City Government, in Coordination with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), to Construct and Maintain a Monument of President Elpidio Quirino in Hilltop Subdivision, Barangay Greater Lagro, Novaliches, Quezon City.

       This resolution was passed in recognition and honor of the legacy of President Elpidio Quirino.

  • SP-7931, S-2019 A Resolution Authorizing the City Mayor, Honorable Ma. Josefina G. Belmonte, to Enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the World Vision Development Foundation, Inc. (WVDF), Represented by its National Director, Mr. Rommel V. Fuerte, for the Implementation of the Crowd-Based Monitoring of Milk Code Compliance in Support of Executive Order No. 51, Otherwise Known as the “National Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes, Breastmilk Supplements and Related Products” and Republic Act No. 10028, Otherwise Known as the “Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009” Amending for the Purpose Resolution No. SP-7849, S- 2019.

       This resolution was passed in recognition that the collaboration of WVDF and the LGU of Quezon City and other stakeholders in the implementation of the CCMC Project would redound to the greater benefit of the poor and marginalized children, families and communities.

  • SP-8056, S-2019 A Resolution Authorizing the Quezon City Government Represented by the City Mayor, Honorable Ma. Josefina G. Belmonte, to Enter and Sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the Teach For the Philippines, Inc., (TFP) and the Department of Education, Division of Quezon City for SY 2019-2020, SY 2020-2021, and SY 2021 - 2022, Subject to Existing Laws, Rules and Regulations.

       This resolution was passed in order to implement the TFP Program, which will: provide teaching Fellows in the public elementary and high schools in Quezon City; continue the training program for education and non-education members to become successful and transformational teachers; and help in the research and development for future education policies.

  • SP-8069, S-2019A Resolution Commending Barangay San Bartolome for being the First Runner-Up in the 2019 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Wards (LTIA) under the Highly Urbanized Cities Category.

       This resolution was passed in recognition of the exemplary performance of the members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa of Barangay San Bartolome for winning in the LTIA.

  • SP-8093, S-2020A Resolution Congratulating Christopher Mistades Braga for Winning a Silver Medal in the Squash Men’s Team Event at the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

       This resolution was passed to congratulate Christopher Mistades Buraga and all other athletes for making Quezon City proud and for serving as an inspiration to young men and women in the country.

  • SP-8189, S-2020 A Resolution Strongly Condemning All Forms of Atrocities and Acts of Violence in Support of Executive Order No. 70, S 2018.

       This resolution was passed following the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2019-200 enjoining all Local Government Units (LGUs) to fully support the implementation of E.O. No. 70, S-2018.
