Anti - Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children Ordinance in Quezon City

The 22nd Quezon City Council recently passed our Anti-OSAEC Ordinance that penalizes acts of Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children in Quezon City!

This measure was passed on Third and Final Reading "PO22CC-161" an Ordinance prohibiting acts of Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) in Quezon City with corresponding penalties, thereafter providing a support environment for the survivors, and providing funds thereof;

With Vice Mayor Gian Sotto as presiding officer, this landmark ordinance was introduced by Councilors Geleen "Dok G" Lumbad, Joseph Joe Visaya, Dorothy A. Delarmente, M.D., Maria Eleanor "Doc Ellie" R. Juan, O.D, Bernard R. Herrera, Albert Alvin "Chuckie" L. Antonio III, and Charm M. Ferrer.

This is one of the priority measures of the current QC Government, as the City Government vow to fight for the protection and rights of our children, and provide a safe space everywhere whether online or not. Let us be vigilant in our fight to keep our city a child-friendly city.
