The culminating activity of Tandang Sora’s 200th Birth Anniversary started on December 14, 2012 in a ceremony held at the Quezon Memorial Circle wherein some of the Tandang Sora Contests winners initiated by the Division of City Schools presented their winning performances.

The launching of Tandang Sora Exhibit was also witnessed during the event. Kubo-making Contest entries were judged during the aforementioned activity in which participating barangays competed for the Seven Kubo Awards that were announced on January 6, 2013 in celebration of Tandang Sora’s 201st Birth Anniversary.

On January 6, 2013, the Quezon City Government prepared a closing program of the Tandang Sora Year, which coincides with her 201st Birth Anniversary to give respect to Melchora “Tandang Sora” Aquino’s exceptional contribution during the revolution.

The activity started with a mass officiated by Mnsr. Jesus Romulo Rañada. The performance of Dulaang Melchora Aquino of Quezon City Polytechnic University follows right after the mass. The National Historical Commission, Barangay Tandang Sora, Knights of Columbus (Tandang Sora Chapter), descendants and the Quezon City Government officials headed by the Honorable City Mayor Herbert M. Bautista and Vice Mayor Ma. Josefina G. Belmonte offered flowers to the National Heroine.
