Milestone Legislation
  • SP 5786, S-2013 A resolution urging the Honorable Mayor Herbert M. Bautista to direct the existing Quezon City owned hospitals, such as the Quezon City General Hospital and Novaliches District Hospital, and such other future Quezon City Owned Hospitals to allocate at least 10% of the total number of their hospital beds for the use of Quezon City Senior Citizen Residents and designate the same as “Quezon City Senior Citizens’ Ward.
  • SP-5830, S-2013 A resolution urging the Honorable City Mayor Herbert M. Bautista to observe the Elderly Filipino Week and Senior Citizens Day Every 1st week of October every year and designate the same as “Quezon City Senior Citizens Week” and designate any day within the said week as “Quezon City Senior Citizens Day”, appropriating funds thereof, and creating a committee to be headed by the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Together with other related city departments as members, in order to coordinate the activities which shall be carried out in observance thereof.
  • SP-2351, S-2014 An ordinance establishing Senior Citizens’ Desk in every barangay in Quezon City to be designated as “Barangay Senior Citizens’ Desk” and appropriating funds thereto.
  • SP- 2339, S-2014 An ordinance mandating every barangay in Quezon City to establish a “Barangay Senior Citizens Center”, and appropriating funds thereto.
  • SP- 2355, S-2014 An ordinance authorizing every barangays in Quezon City to set a side one percent (1%) of their total annual budget and to allocate the same for the programs, projects, and activities for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities.
  • SP- 2352, S-2014 An ordinance requiring all barangays of this city to designate at least two (2) Barangay Public Safety Officer (BPSO) as Traffic enforcers which shall undergo Basic Traffic Management Seminars to be conducted by the Department of Public Order and Safety of Quezon City and shall be authorized to issue Ordinance Violation Receipts (OVR).
  • SP 5877, S-2014 A resolution authorizing the Honorable Mayor Herbert M. Bautista, to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Housing Authority (NHA) for the establishment of Senior Citizen Center and Street Children Center at the National Government Center (NGC) Westside, Barangay Commonwealth Quezon City.
  • SP-5888, S-2014 A Resolution making Quezon City a “Senior Citizens Friendly City” by October 2014.
  • SP-6140, S-2014 A resolution urging the Honorable Quezon City Mayor Herbert M. Bautista for the establishment of a “Quezon City Senior Citizens Garden” within the Quezon City Memorial Circle, Elliptical Road in Quezon City, and appropriating funds thereof.
  • SP-5906, S-2014 A resolution urging all barangays in Quezon City to designate a Persons with Disability (PWD) Focal Person to serve as coordinator with the Quezon City Persons With Disability Affairs Office (QC-PDAO).
  • SP- 2402, S-2015 An ordinance establishing the Quezon City Home for the Aged and Hospice under the supervision and management of the Social Services Development Department.
  • SP- 2381, S-2015 An ordinance providing for free pneumococcal vaccination to all registered senior citizen residents of Quezon City.
  • SP- 2430, S- 2015 An ordinance requiring all funeral establishments and entities undertaking similar services in Quezon City to provide their clients a full disclosure of their funeral services in writing, stating therein the specific details of each of their service as well its prices, before rendering any service to the deceased body and providing penalties in violation thereof. 
  • SP 2414, S- 2015 An ordinance mandating all Quezon City owned establishments and offices to provide vehicular space allotment within their parking lot or parking area for the exclusive use of Senior Citizens and PWDS and to properly designated the as Senior Citizens And Pwds Parking Space.
  • SP- 6401, S- 2015 A resolution urging all Quezon City Hospitals and other similar medical institutions to strictly observe and comply with the implementation of Republic Act No. 8344 entitled “An Act Penalizing the Refusal of Hospitals and Medical Clinics to Administer Appropriate Initial Medical Treatment and Support in Emergency or Serious Cases, amending for the purpose of Batas Pambansa Bilang 702, otherwise known as, “An Act Prohibiting the Demand of Deposits or Advance Payments for the Confinement or Treatments of Patients in Hospitals and Medical Clinics in Certain Cases.
  • SP-6598, S-2015 A resolution strongly supporting the passage of House Bill No. 5732 otherwise known as, “Protection for the Elderly Act”, which seeks to penalize abuse, neglect, and exploitation of elderly people age 60 and above.
  • SP- 6596, S-2015 A resolution strongly supporting the passage of House Bill No. 5780 which aims to give honor to all Filipino Centenarians by providing them a cash incentive of one hundred thousand pesos (Php 100,000.00) and a Letter of Felicitation from the President of the Philippines.
  • SP-6605, S-2015 A resolution strongly supporting the passage of House Bill No. 3172, which seeks to redefine indigent Senior Citizens by not limiting to “Frail, Sickly and Disabled Only” and to Qualify the Financial Assistance as contemplated in Republic Act No. 9994 as regular and appropriate, proposed by Hon. Angelina “Helen” D.l. Tan, M.D.
  • SP-6527, S-2015 A resolution urging all hospitals and medical clinics in Quezon City to strictly comply with Republic Act No. 9439, otherwise known as “an Act Prohibiting the Detention of Patients in Hospitals and Medical Clinics on Grounds of Nonpayment of Hospital Bills or Medical Expenses.
  • SP-6362, S-2015 A Resolution strongly supporting House Bill No. 4851, filed by Honorable Jose Christopher Y. Belmonte, entitled “An Act Establishing a National High School in Barangay Talipapa, Quezon City.
  • SP-6353, S-2015 A Resolution strongly supporting House Bill No. 4606, entitled “An Act Establishing a National High School In Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City, to be known as Pasong Tamo National High School, and appropriating funds therefor.

PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS

With his more than forty years (40) years in public service, Coun. Roger Juan has been able to initiate and continuously provide various community-based projects and programs which were specially crafted based·on the needs of his constituents in District VI, Quezon City, to wit:

  • YES (Youth Education Support) Program
    • YES Program is basically focused on the thrust of the office of Coun. Roger Juan in promoting and providing equal access to quality and affordable education. Through this program, the office of Coun. Roger Juan, with the support of its educational partners, provides scholarship discounts, scholarship stipend, free computer and livelihood trainings and free TESDA trainings to the youth and students of District VI who are willing to pursue their studies. Under this program, Coun. Roger Juan also distributes free textbooks and reading and writing materials to the preschool and kindergarten students of various schools in his district.
  • HA-P! Program
    • Coun. Roger Juan's flagship HA-P is his very own Health Awareness & Protection Program. With the help of his health partners such as the Red Cross of the Philippines, EdMed, Generika Drugstore, etc., Coun. Roger Juan has been able to provide various health and wellness projects among his constituents. These include feeding programs (milk and pa-Lugaw), free eye check-up and reading glasses, free eye screening, operation for cataract, pterygium, and glaucoma, Red Cross 143 Program, Aero Zumba, free heaircut, free blood pressure check-up, medicine discounts, anti-rabies vaccination, and Proyektong Pangkalinisan (trimming, mopping, flushing, amd cleaning operations).
  • SERBISYONG MAAASAHAN
    • The SERBISYONG MAAASAHAN of Coun. Roger Juan is comprised of various community-based projects such as free legal consultation, assistance, and preparation of legal documents, distribution of application and replacement forms for Senior Citizens I.D. and PWD I.D., distribution of PhilHealth MDR forms and I.D. to senior citziens, Operation Birth Right, installation of new posts for streetlights, repair and rehabilitation of busted streetlights, levelling, asphalting, concreting of streets and alleys, construction and rehabilitation of multi-purpose halls and covered courts, and sidewalk, gutter, and drainage improvement. etc.
