PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS
HEALTH PROGRAMS

     Councilor Lagman has the Programang Pangkalusugan ni Lagman (PPL) wherein medical assistance in various hospitals such as Quirino Memorial Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, Philippine Orthopedic Center, East Avenue Medical Center, Lung Center of the Philippines, Philippine Heart Center, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, and Philippine Children’s Medical Center are available to residents of Quezon City. Through this program, access to health care such as check-ups, laboratory procedures, medicines and hospitalization benefits are being available to indigent patients. Since the start of her term, a total of 6,089 beneficiaries have been extended medical assistance with the aid of Albay Rep. Edcel C. Lagman and the Department of Health.

EDUCATION AND SPORTS DEVELOPMENT

     Councilor Lagman’s advocacy to value education and believed in its importance in the development and progress of the community. She has always believed that an investment in the education of the children will never go to waste. True to this belief, since the start of her term, there are already 293 college students given scholarship grants, in partnership with the Scholarship and Youth Development Program (SYDP).

     Aside from scholarship grants, Councilor Lagman also has a Book Distribution Program wherein workbooks and textbooks are given in all the day care centers of District IV, Quezon City. Also just recently, in partnership with Children International-Philippines, Inc., a total of 18,000 books were distributed in all elementary and secondary schools in District IV, Quezon City. These books are viewed to be a valuable addition to the school’s library and will help ease the problem in the insufficiency of books.

INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

     Councilor Lagman also gives due importance to infrastructure projects for this are positively related to the growth of the community. Further, these are needed to deliver quality public service. Thus, Councilor Lagman makes it certain that part of her annual budget shall be allotted to infrastructure projects, as these projects are expected to benefit numerous residents in the long term. Among the projects of Councilor Lagman are the following:

  • Road Improvements of Daang Tubo, Barangay UP Campus, Quezon City
  • Improvement of Pathwalk at Block 5, Pook Daan Tubo, Barangay UP Campus, Quezon City
  • Improvement of Chapel, Barangay Tatalon

  • Road Improvements of Village A and B, Barangay UP Campus, Quezon City. Improvement of Drainage System at Flores St. and V. Manansala St., Barangay Krus na Ligas, Quezon City
  • Fabrication of Movable Basketball Goals at Various Barangays of District IV, Quezon City
  • Installation of Canopy of Belmonte Building at Ramon Magsaysay Cubao High School, Quezon City
  • Rehabilitation of Sidewalk along 2nd Avenue, Brgy. Bagong Lipunan ng Crame, Quezon City
  • Construction of Mini-Playground at Baloy St., Brgy. Santol, Quezon City
  • Construction of Mini-Park at Silencio corner Puray streets, Brgy. Santol, Quezon City
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

     For the development of the community and provision of other immediate needs, Councilor Lagman has the following efforts:

  • Donated Industrial Fans to all thirty eight (38) barangays in District IV
  • Donated five (5) compete set of Desktop Computers to PNP Station 9, and Barangay Laging Handa
  • Donated three (3) Motorcycle with Side Car for the use of the Barangay Police Safety Officers (BPSO) of Barangays UP Campus, Doña Aurora and San Isidro Galas
  • Installation of Closed-Circuit Televisions (CCTV) to three (3) barangays, namely, Pinyahan, Sikatuna, and TV East. Seven more barangays are in the process of bidding for barangays Central, Mariana, South Triangle, Valencia, Malaya, Krus na Ligas, and Immaculate Conception
  • Distributed nine (9) Push Carts for the use of the street sweepers in Barangays Laging Handa, Doña Imelda, Santol, and San Isidro Galas
  • Donated several Movable Basketball Boards
