PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS

Upon assuming my first local government position, I realized that the government funds allocated to my office as councilor will never be enough if I truly wanted to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged and make it better. So I ventured in finding ways to make my programs reach its desired beneficiaries.

Notable to mention among our programs are:

  1. ASSISTANCE ON HEALTH FUND – a self-supported medical assistance program, in partnership with Mercury Drug Corporation and Hospitals such as National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, Philippine Heart Center, East Avenue Medical Center, National Children’s Hospital, and Lung Center of the Philippines. We also have existing partnership with the Bagong Henerasyon Partylist and the Department of Social Welfare and Development to provide for various health and non-health needs of District 1 residents.

  2. MOBILE CLINIC – provision of health services such as X-ray, ECG, Laboratory services, Dental services and others - at the doorstep of Quezon City residents.

  3. SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS – in coordination with Scholarship and Youth Development Program Office and the different national government agencies, such as Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Science and Technology, Commission on Higher Education, Department of Health and Department of Agriculture, incoming freshmen, as well as, undergraduate students, and soon for Post-Graduate students, are constantly referred to these agencies to avail of their on-going scholarship programs.

  4. ASSISTANCE TO INFORMAL SETTLER – I have undertaken step, both through legislative means and through programs and projects to ensure that our legitimate urban poor/informal settlers are assisted either towards acquiring the property they are in or by endorsing them to proper agencies for relocation or resettlement.

  5. TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL TRAININGS – in partnership with TESDA-accredited training institutions, our office serves as the conduit for willing and able students, in providing TECH-VOC Trainings such as Call Center Training, where more than 15,000 have been trained and have been successfully placed in the different call center companies, Massage Therapy and Wellness Massage (Pinoy Hilot) each with more than 8,000 graduates, among others.
